YOUSAF KHAN FROM SURREY WINS AT FULTON, MISSOURI

Yousaf Khan from Surrey, a junior (third year) student at Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa won the William Woods Spring Invitational college tournament at Tanglewood Golf Club, Fulton, Missouri on Tuesday.
Yousaf, pictured, did it in style, heading a field of 52 players by six strokes with rounds of 70 and 69 for 139, five under par for the 6,883yd (par-72) course.
Grand View won the team title by 10 shots from their nearest challengers in a field of 10 teams.

ANDREW GUNSON JOINT FIFTH IN CALIFORNIA

Ayrshire-born Andrew Gunson (University of California-Santa Barbara) finished joint fifth in a field of 87 at the Santa Barbara Invitational men's college tournament over a par-72 course of 7,068yd at Sandpiper Golf Club, Goleta in California.
Gunson, pictured left, from Irvine moved to Irvine, California when his father Brian became a head professional at an upmarket golf club over there.
Andrew had scores of 70, 73 and 73 for a total of level par 216. He finished four shots behind the joint winners, both students at Oregon - Daniel Miernicki (68-72-72) and Jack Dukeminier (67-72-73).
Oregon (852) won the team title. UC-Santa Barbara (878) were second in a field of 16 teams.

JAMIE CHAPMAN FROM SUSSEX JT SECOND IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Jamie Chapman from Sussex and a student at Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tennessee finished joint second in a LMU 1-2-3 finish to the Cherokee Valley Invite men's college tournament at Cherokee Valley Golf Club, Tigerville, South Carolina.
Chapman, pictured right, had rounds of 75 and 70 over the par-72, 6612yd course tieing with team-mate Eric Kennedy (69-76) on 145, eight shots behind the winner, another team-mate, Cory Bartlett who had rounds of 67 and 70 for seven-under-par 137.
Another LMU student from England, Luke Butler from Worcester, made the top 10 with 75 and 77 for 152, which earned him joint seventh place.
And yet another LMU player, David Lee from Glasgow, tied for 11th place on 153 with scores of 79 and 74.
LMU filled six of the top 10 places in a field of 42 so not surprising that they won the team title by 35 shots. Six teams competed.

ONE WE MISSED LAST WEEK: APOLOGIES TO LAURA CUTLER!

Laura Culter from Essex, a student at Jacksonville State University, Alabama, finished joint 19th in a small-field event (30 players), the Ocala Spring Invitational at Juliette Falls Golf Club, Ocala in Florida.
Laura, pictured, had rounds of 78 and 80 for a total of 158 over a par-72 course of 5960yd.
She finished 12 shots behind the winner by one, Emma Johsson (Morehead State, Kentucky) who had rounds of 69 and 77 for 146.
Morehead State, Kentucky won the team title with a total of 594. Jacksonville State (611) were runners-up in a field of five teams.
