JENNA WILSON LONE SCOT IN
LAST ROUND OF EUROPEAN
AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Jenna Wilson was the only Scot to survive the third-round cut in the European women’s amateur individual championship at Golf National Club, near Paris today (Friday).
Jenna, pictured right, had her third round of two-over-par 74 in succession to go into the final round on six-over-par 222 and in joint 17th position in a starting field of 144.
A total of 70 players with totals of 232 qualified for the final round.
Eliminated were Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle), despite a 74 for 237, Gemma Webster with two 7s on her card in an 83 for 239 and Claire-Marie Carlton (Stirling University) with an 82 for 243.
Spaniard Emma Cabrera spreadeagled the field with a brilliant third-round 66 for eight-under-par 208 which put her four shots clear of Caroline Hedwall (Sweden).
Joint halfway leader Carlota Ciganda (Spain) had an uncharacteristic 9 at a par-4 hole in returning a 75 for 215.
Melissa Reid from Derby, winner of the Scottish women's stroke-play, the St Rule Trophy and leading amateur in the Women's British Open over the Old Course, is in joint fourth place on one-under-par 215 after her best round so far, a two-under 70.
