LADIES MOROCCAN SALVER
BANCHORY PAIR WIN TRIP TO MOROCCO
Marjory Clark, playing off 11, and Jean Saunderson, a 20-handicapper, both Banchory Golf Club members, won the Scottish Regional Final of the Ladies Moroccan Salver tournament at Pitreavie Golf Club today.
They did it by the narrowest of margins over Alison Melvin (12) and Corinne Campbell (22) from The Hirsel Golf Club, near Coldstream.
Both pairs had 43pt under the American greensomes format.
Marjory and Jean won with a back nine of 23pt to their rivals' 19pt.
The Banchory pair now go forward with the winners of nine other regional finals to the Greand Final in Morocco in November.
