ENGLISH LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION PRESS RELEASE

MAUREEN LOCKETT TO BE NEXT ELGA PRESIDENT

Two new English Ladies’ Golf Association (ELGA) appointments for 2004 have been announced, the positions will become effective following the AGM on the 4th December. Maureen Lockett, Hallamshire Golf Club, Yorkshire will be the President of ELGA and Jenny Clink, Lilley Brook Golf Club, Gloucestershire will be the Vice-Chairman of ELGA.

Both ladies have a wealth of experience and knowledge of golf and governing bodies, at county and country level. Maureen has recently stepped down as the Chairman of the LGU and in 1995 was the Chairman of the association, Jenny has been an ELGA executive for three years, representing the south-west division. Both ladies have represented their counties as players / captains and Jenny managed the England team at the Girls’ Home Internationals this year.
