ANOTHER BANCHORY WIN FOR
LINDA URQUHART
LINDA Urquhart, women's champion of Banchory Golf Club 21 times, added to her almost as considerable tally of successes in her home club's annual 36-hole women's open on Saturday.
Linda had scores of 80 and 78 in very windy conditions for an aggregate of 158 - 14 shots over the combined CSS of 72 for both rounds - to win by a single shot from Aberdeenshire county champion Julie Henderson (Inverness) and past county captain Margaret MacNaughtan (Aberdeen Ladies).
Julie had scores of 80 and 79. Margaret was the first-round leader with a 77 but took 82 in the second round.
