ANNE LAING JOINT SECOND WITH 74

Twice Scottish champion Anne Laing had six birdies and seven bogeys in a one-over-par 74 which put her in joint second place at the time with Germany's Chris Kobarg.
Anne had a bad start of bogeys at the first three holes but she went on to birdie the fifth, eighth, ninth, 12th, 14th and 18th, although dropping more shots at the seventh, 11th, 13th and 15th.
She finished in grand style with a birdie 2 at the 185yd 18th, where, with rain lashing down - play would be shortly suspended for 20min because of casual water on the greens, she smashed a five-wood tee shot on to the green and downed a 15ft putt.
