SIAN EVANS TIED EIGHTH AFTER TWO ROUNDS AT JACKSONVILLE

Kent's Sian Evans (East Tennessee State) added a level par 72 to her opening round of 73 to be tied eighth after two rounds of the JMU Eagle Landing Invite in Jacksonville, Florida.
Liz Haycock (Old Dominion) from the West Midlands is tied 28th on 151 (75-76).
South Florida still lead the 18-team event on 584, but are only one clear of second-day movers, Maryland.
Kaylin Yost (Campbell University) retains the individual lead on 141 but, with only one shot to spare, will have to hold off a closing pack in tomorrow's final round.

ROSS MILNE SEVENTH IN BLUE MOUNTAIN TRI MATCH

Aboyne's Ross Milne, who transferred from Dodge City to Ashford University, Clinton, Iowa, finished seventh of 20 in the individual standings in this week's Blue Mountain Tri Match over 18 holes against Blue Mountain College and Aurora University at Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Ross, pictured,  had a round of 83 over the par-72 Kirkwood National Golf Club course, finishing nine shots behind the winner by three, Adam Hall (Blue Mountain College).

The team totals were:

Blue Mountain College 321, Ashford University 324, Aurora University 364.
It was Ross Milne's second golf tournament of the week.
Two days earlier he had finished T49 in a field of 68 at the Mississippi College Invite at Black Bear Golf Club, Delhi, Louisiana.
Ross scored 81-88 for 169 in this one which was won individually by three shots by Chris Hyten (Texas Lutheran) with scores of 75-74 for 149 over a par-72 course of 6,964yd.
Ashford finished joint fourth of 11 in the team event won by Maryville University.
Trips to Mississippi and Louisiana in the same week - play the US college golf circuit and see America at somebody else's expense!
