Anna Carling tied for 5th

EKU Lady Colonel Classic

Defending the title she won as a freshman in 2010, Anna Carling from Wales finished in a tie for fifth place in the EKU Lady Colonel Classic at Richmond, Kentucky on 9/10 April. Rounds of 75 76 and 74 for a total of 225 led Arkansas State to second place in the tournament which was won by Moorhead State, two strokes ahead of Arkansas State. Compatriot Natasha Gobey from Rhondda Golf Club and the University of Toledo finished tied for 22nd place with rounds of 78 78 and 77. Toledo finished fourth in the standings.

The annual match between Aberdeenshire Ladies and North-east Youths at Murcar Links was adapted to have mixed gender pairings to mark the probable amalgamation of the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association and the Scottish Golf Union later this year.

The honours were shared in a 3-3 draw.
