"We were delighted with our latest win.
"We travel to Worsley Park near Manchester on September 26. If successful there, we then travel to Spain for the semis and final.
"I noticed in the press last week that a men's team from the west was featured so, on behalf of my team, I thought it would be nice to 'blow our trumpet'. We are thrilled to bits. There will be one other Scottish team going to the quarter finals - Skelmorlie from Ayrshire. They beat Deer Park at the 19th to reach the last eight.

"The most difficult thing is going to be choosing the team. Everyone is so keen to play and no one wants to be left out. Miyazato leads by three in Safeway Classic
NORTH PLAINS, Oregon (AP) — Chasing her fifth LPGA Tour victory of the year, Ai Miyazato shot a 5-under 67 on Saturday to take a three-stroke lead into the final round of the LPGA Safeway Classic.
The Japanese star was 11 under on Pumpkin Ridge's Ghost Creek Course.
Juli Inkster was tied for second at 8 under with Song-Hee Kim (64) and Na Yeon Choi (67) after an apparent 67, but was disqualified because she swung a weighted training aid on her club to stay loose during a long hold-up at the 10th hole.
Miyazato has won four tournaments this season and is among five players in a tight battle for the No. 1 spot in the rankings. Cristie Kerr is currently No. 1, followed by Miyazato, Jiyai Shin, Suzann Pettersen and Yani Tseng.
The cut fell at 147. Catriona Matthew missed out on 150 (77-73) and Janice Moodie on 152 (79-73).

Juli Inkster DQ'd for infringement spotted by viewer
NORTH PLAINS, Oregon (AP) — Juli Inkster was disqualified from the LPGA Safeway Classic for using a weighted training aid on her club while waiting on the No. 10 hole on the Ghost Creek Course on Saturday.
After the 50-year-old Hall of Famer finished her round and was told of the disqualification, Inkster passed quickly by autograph seekers and reporters without comment. She quickly left in a course shuttle.
It was heartbreaking for Inkster, who shot a 67 and was 8 under after the first two rounds. She was in a group just three strokes behind leader Ai Miyazato.
Inkster, who had a 30min wait for the No. 10 hole, apparently used a "doughnut" weight on her 9-iron to stay loose.
LPGA Director of Tournament Competitions Sue Witters said a viewer noticed the device from the television broadcast of the event and contacted tournament officials.
Inkster was already on the 17th hole of the course at Pumpkin Ridge when officials determined she had indeed used the device. She was told when she came off the course after the final hole, Witters said.
Witters said Inkster was surprised and unaware she had broken the rule.
"The rules staff here made the decision on the rule and we took it one step further and called the USGA," Witters said. "We would have loved to have some wiggle room on that. But it's pretty cut and dried.
"Being the professional she is, there wasn't much to say once the decision was read."
Inkster issued a brief statement.
"I had a 30min wait and I needed to loosen up," she said. "It had no effect on my game whatsoever, but it is what it is. I'm very disappointed."
Editor's note: Don't you just love the busybodies who see something on TV and just have to phone the tournament organisers!Labels: LPGA TOUR
