Elie Sports Club's 27th junior coaching classes start on Monday

Elie Sports Club launches its 27th annual junior golf coaching classes on Monday, July 5. The weekly classes run for seven weeks throughout the summer holidays.
They are held from Monday to Thursday with competitions every Friday with no equipment necessary. The classes start with “Wee Wonders” for four and five year olds where the emphasis is on FUNdamental movement and an introduction to the basic skills of golf, culminating in a one-hole competition on Friday.
The classes are designed for all ages and abilities with the final class the “Bridgestone Tour Pro”. Here the emphasis is on developing young talent in the 12 years + category.
Junior Explanars, video analysis and the latest Titleist Performance Institute junior products are all used to provide the most innovative and enjoyable classes possible.
Since 1984 people have been flocking to this picturesque East Neuk of Fife village for junior coaching and for many this is their first taste of golf. Elie head professional Ian Muir takes this responsibility seriously: “Elie has become quite famous for its summer classes and we are constantly striving to improve the product and provide girls and boys the best possible start in golf in a fun and safe environment.”
Over the last two years around 650 juniors each year have been involved in the junior coaching program and already this year Elie Sports Club is on course to surpass that number. The coaching program is delivered by four PGA-qualified coaches who have all undertaken specific coaching for children courses.
Limited spaces are still available for some weeks and for any further information please phone 01333 330 955 or visit www.eliesportscub.co.uk and www.ianmuirgolf.com
